Paris Saint-Germain are now hot favourite to sign Real Madrid’s Jese Rodriguez, with reports in Spain suggesting the Spanish forward is “very close” to move to the Ligue 1 billionaires. It’s certainly a massive blow for Arsenal and Liverpool as the both of them have been heavily linked with the 23-year-old over the past few weeks but Onda Cero is now reporting Paris is his “most likely” destination.
The Real Madrid academy product has been expected to search for another club after Real chose to activate a buy-back clause to bring Alvaro Morata back to Zinedine Zidane’s team.
Los Blancos are said to have faith in the future of the versatile forward, but want him to secure playing time somewhere else, as his playing time could be limited due to the presence of Morata, Lucas Vazquez and the unmovable BBC trio formed by Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Karim Benzema.
Now reports in Spain say the versatile forward’s “most likely” destination is PSG.
Onda Cero reported Jese is “very close” to move to the Ligue 1 side after the clubs advanced negotiations during their pre-season friendly on Thursday 28 July.

Interestingly, only hours before the match, Jese’s agent Gines Carvajal was seen talking to Real Madrid chief Jose Angel Sanchez. Onda Cero claims that the trip of the representative to America prior to the encounter with PSG was not a coincidence but a clear intention to accelerate his transfer to the Ligue 1 side.
Adding more to this report, the Spanish radio station believes the player is not in a mood to renew his contract with Real Madrid despite it set to expire at the end of the coming season.
This way, instead of a loan, Los Blancos will need to cash-in with him on a permanent basis, but keeping a buy-back option to tempt him back to the Bernabeu if he becomes a major star, as they did with Morata.
