Chelsea target  and Everton defender John Stones has handed in a transfer request to Everton as he wants to force his move to the Premier League champions, reports BBC.

Everton has already rejected three bids for the 21-year-old English international but is braced for another offer from the Premier League champions.

The Toffees have claimed several times in the past that the England international is not for sale but this news will now surely stir the Merseyside club whohave no other option now. It is understood that Everton might agree to sell the defender for a fee somewhere around 36 million pounds.

Everton had bought Stones from Barsnley in 2013 for just 3 million pounds. According to a deal with the feeder club Everton will have to pay 15% of the deal to Barsnley.

Chelsea started their campaign for retaining the Premier League title poorly with a 2-2 draw with Swansea and a 3-0 defeat against Manchester City and Roman Abramovich is furious with Jose Mourinho and has urged to sign players to reinforce the squad.

Following the poor results, Chelsea have signed Baba Rahman and Pedro and are hopeful to land the English youngster to replace John Terry for a long time. The 34-year0old veteran defender looks out of form this season as he is been vulnerable so far. Terry was also sent off this week against West Bromwich Albion.

Jose Mourinho has already lost faith over another English international Gary Cahill who was dropped from the starting XI this week. John Stones inclusion would be a huge boost for the Blues squad.

It should be noted that John Stones was also a key target of Chelsea’s title rivals Manchester United but now as it seems, Chelsea would once again win the race and bag John Stones’ signature.
