Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was quite confident that Christian Benteke will be there for this weekend’s Premier League encounter against Chelsea.
The Belgian striker returned after around one month-long spell in the 1-1 draw against Southampton last Sunday, coming off the bench to give his side the much-needed lead in the 80th minute.
Unfortunately, Benteke once again reported a discomfort in the knee after the Premier League clash. He was rested as a safety precaution in the Capital One Cup win against Bournemouth last night.
But after producing his first win as Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has another good news for the Liverpool supporters.
“I think Christian will be fit on Saturday. He had little problems and with our ‘striker situation’ we can’t take a risk. Divock played again [tonight] and he did well – he worked really hard. But I think Christian will be back,” he revealed.
The striker himself confirmed that he will return to action against Chelsea in an interview with LFC Official Website.
He said, “I’m good, I felt something in the Southampton game but it’s behind me. I’m looking forward to the Chelsea game”

Liverpool are struggling with consecutive injuries this season and the return of the Belgian will be a major boost for them ahead of a crunch game away at Chelsea.
