It all comes down to one game, one game away from being the first ever champions of the Indian Super League. The final between Kerala Blasters FC and Atletico de Kolkata may not feature the two best attacking teams but we sure can hope for a lot of drama if we base the final on how the two clubs reached the final.

Both teams played extra time in their respective semi-finals with Kolkata winning on penalties while Kerala won thanks to a 4-3 aggregate win over Chennaiyin FC. There is no “I” in team but certain individuals can change the course of the game, here we are going to feature 5 game changers who can swing the match in their team’s way.

Luis Garcia: Atletico de Kolkata

The creative midfielder holds the key for Atletico de Kolkata in attack, Fikru is missing the final due to injury and the onus will be on the magician to unlock a resolute Kerala defence. Garcia is carrying a little knock and would be hopeful of playing the full match but even a half fit Garcia can be a huge problem for any team.

Iain Hume: Kerala Blasters

The Canadian striker certainly has been an important player for the Blasters, he has scored 5 goals for the Blasters and his movement will be very important as he tries to stretch the Atletico de Kolkata defence. Hume is good in the air and will be looking to score a goal or two for Kerala.

Borja Fernandez: Atletico de Kolkata

Another Spanish player who has done incredibly well for Atletico de Kolkata, Borja has played in almost all the games for Atletico de Kolkata and is extremely important for the club in the heart of their midfield. He has great vision and also loves to support the midfield by joining the attack, a proper holding midfielder and has a great shot in his foot as well.

Stephen Pearson: Kerala Blasters

The Englishman was responsible for scoring the all-important goal for Kerala when they beat Chennaiyin on aggregate. He will be looking to score one more important goal for the Blasters as they take on Atletico de Kolkata, Pearson was one of the best players on the pitch that day and he could be one of the best players in the final, if he has things going his way.

Edel: Atletico de Kolkata

The Armenian has been one of the best goalkeepers on display in the Indian Super League, it was his superb reflex save that kept FC Goa at bay in the away leg and ensured Atletico made it to the final. With both teams not being the best at scoring, maybe the goalkeepers can actually be the difference makers in the final.
