Most of the non-football fans in India will be backing Kerala Blasters because the club is owned by Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who is considered as the God in India. Sachin along with entrepreneur Prasad V Potluri of PVP ventures are the owners of the Kochi based side.

Without a doubt, Kerala Blasters look the weakest of all the eight teams participating in the ISL. Former England Goal Keeper is the team’s Manager cum Marquee player. Kerala is one of the few states that has quite a lot of people who follow football with passion.

One of two player-managers in the ISL, Goalie David James is the Blasters’ marquee signing. The Englishman will be taking the reins of the team completely. Michael Chopra is probably the biggest name to be playing for the Blasters along with fellow Englishmen Iain Hume and Jammie McAllister. While the Brits make up the more mature element of the team, the Blasters have recruited two young Brazilians in Erwin Spitzner and Pedro Gusmao, who have about 25 Brazilian league appearances between them. Despite having a weak team, Blasters will look to do a Rajasthan Royals who won the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League without a star studded line-up.
