After a mediocre season by their standards, Arsenal failed to qualify for the Champions League for the next season but they will have to make some serious progress in the upcoming campaign to maintain themselves as a heavyweight in England.
The manager has been desperate for a genuine goal scorer for more than one summer now but he has finally been able to land one his top transfer targets in Alexandre Lacazette this summer.
The French international is easily one of the best goal strikers in world football at the moment and he surely makes Arsenal a stronger outfit in attack next season.
But one person that does not think Lacazette is worth the fuzz is Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho scouted for Lacazette
The Red Devils lost Zlatan Ibrahimovic, their top goal scorer from the previous season and were also in desperate need of a striker who can fill the Swede’s boots next season.
They have managed to sign up Everton’s Romelu Lukaku for the next season but reports claim that Mourinho had an eye on Lacazette before he completed his move to Arsenal.
Lacazette joined the Gunners in a £52m deal, which is a club record transfer but the Express claims that Manchester United were also scouting for the 26-year old and were ready to meet his valuation.
Not good enough
However, Mourinho decided against making a move for the French star as he felt that he is not as good as his image.
The Express claims that a source close to them has revealed that Mourinho, who had an eye on Lacazette for six long months, decided against spending on him, due to the lack of strength and big game mentality in the player.

A United source said: “Lacazette was followed because he was top scorer in French football – but a lot of his goals were penalties [10 of his 28 goals last season came from the spot].
“In the end he wasn’t considered because he has no stamina, no physical impact and isn’t a big-game player.”
Manchester United finally decided to spend £100m on Romelu Lukaku this summer and Jose Mourinho is surely going to rub it in Wenger’s face next season.
Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho were never the best of friends with a number of controversies have seen them exchange some unkind words.
Mourinho is always alert to an opportunity to do so and having signed Lukaku, he found a chance to do so, and took it with both hands.
