Chelsea might have won 11 games in a row to sit at the top of the Premier League but they have still not impressed their former boss Jose Mourinho.
After a mixed start to the season, the Blues have hit the top gear and are looking unstoppable at the moment. Antonio Conte’s men are six points clear at the top of the table after 17 matches.
However, the Manchester United boss has said that the Blues are not worried about the style of play and are just looking to collect the three points at any cost. The Stamford Bridge outfit has won four of their last six games with a 1-0 scoreline, while they have kept nine clean sheets since their 3-0 defeat to Arsenal three months ago.
Mourinho, whose side is currently sixth in the Premier League, 13 points adrift of Chelsea, also admitted that it would be tough for the Red Devils to win the title.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Portuguese tactician said:“You have to be honest and say that is very difficult [winning the title]. It’s not just the difference in points, it’s also the Chelsea philosophy of playing.
“They score one goal and they win. They defend a lot. They defend well. They are winning and, in the last 20 minutes, they bring defenders in.
“They don’t care what people say, what people think. They just want to win. And, because of that, I don’t see them losing many points.”
At the same time, he claimed that United will perform better in the upcoming year.
“2017 will be better than 2016. I think we are really together. There is a sense of unity between us and the fans. I’m loving a lot that feeling,” he said.
