If all goes according to plan, a turning point for Special One. The Portuguese manager’s Blues side will host Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as both the club’s managers will be desperate to hit back leaving behind the early trouble in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho will be in the dugout hoping to hold on to the record of never been beaten in two consecutive home fixtures during his managerial stint in English football. Currently in 16th position, the defending champions haven’t been such a disastrous form in recent past. Actually they have not had a bad start like this for 37 years, during the 1978-79 season the blues picked up only 5 points in their first eight matches when they finished the then Division One at the bottom. Chelsea’s major problem being the defence, Mourinho might try some positional changes on Saturday. Much will depend on Kurt Zouma if he is positioned as right-back filling the gap left by injured Branislav Ivanovic.

Ahead pf the match, Jose Mourinho has finished his pre-match press conference.

Here are quotes from the presser-

Jose Mourinho reported that Ivanovic is injured while Courtois is continuing his recovery.

He said that he has four solutions to fill Ivanovic’s place at right-back: Azpilicueta, Zouma, Ramires or Ola Aina.

On being asked about Loftus-Cheek getting a start, he said, ‘Ruben has been working with us every day since January. I think he is going to be a top player. He is ready to start.’

He said, ‘Every game is a must-win game, for different reasons. We cannot run away from the reality of the table in the Premier League.’

Jose said that the current reality is that we need points to start lifting ourselves up the table.

He also said that he has seen the FA’s written reasons for his charge and he will make an appeal.

Jose Mourinho said, ‘We need to win matches for us, for the Chelsea supporters. I don’t know how to stop unfair stories, but we are not worried.’

Mourinho said that he doesn’t see any players unhappy to be at Cobham, so he doesn’t think being with their national teams changes anything.

Mourinho said that he watched every game his players played on international duty, concluding no player was better with their national team than with.

He said that that is positive because it shows their form is not depending on the environment at Chelsea.

He said, ‘I don’t believe in a fear factor at this level.’

He said that Nemanja Matic is a top player and he completely trusts him.

On Aston Villa, he said, ‘They are a good team with good players not getting the best results.’
