Angry Mourinho Takes A Dig At Other Premier League Teams

Fed-up with the criticism over his team’s style of play as well as the results not going his way, Jose Mourinho has taken a sly dig at other Premier League teams’ style of play after his team played out a 1-1 stalemate at the Goodison Park.
Needing a win to keep pace with the top-four teams, Jose Mourinho’s men were leading against Everton until the 89th minute when Marouane Fellaini fouled Idrissa Gueye and Leighton Baines confidently converted from the spot to steal a point. The Red Devils have now only won two of their past 11 league matches.
They are now nine points adrift of Manchester City in fourth place and 13 points shy of leaders, Chelsea. With hopes of a top-four finish fading away fast, pressure has been mounting on Mourinho. However, the Portuguese tactician said that he is happy with his team’s performance but expressed his concern over not getting the desired result. At the same time, he said that the other teams are not getting criticised even after playing a less desirable style of football because they are picking up points.
“[I’m] Concerned because we don’t get the results we deserve,” he told Sky Sports.
“I know that when my teams win matches playing a different style of football then in that moment what matters is the style of football, it’s not the results.
“You have in this moment teams in the Premier League playing defensive and counter attack football but getting results. This season that is phenomenal in your words.
“When my teams are playing extremely well the results are more important. So that’s where we are. I’m happy that my team is playing really well even in difficult matches like this one.”
Speaking about the recent results,he said:“Is a problem for us that we’re not getting what we deserve.
“It is a problem for us that we have a position in the table which has no relation with the quality of the football that we are showing.”
