Chelsea seem to be making a big move in the transfer window with a deal for Colombian star winger, Juan Caudrado. The Fiorentina player has been in talks with Chelsea representatives according to various sources and is on the brink of completing a big money move. Chelsea have needed another attacking threat to deal with the burden that has been put on Eden Hazard as their only winger who can be deemed to be world class.

Cuadrado had been linked with various teams after his impressive performance for Colombia in the World cup but no concrete discussions took place for the player to make a move. Based on reports that Chelsea have offered £20 million to Fiorentina for the player but it seems that Fiorentina has rejected the bid and want more for the Colombian star.

Chelsea are looking to offload a couple of wingers themselves to help fund the deal with Salah going on loan to Inter Milan who have the option to buy him out at the end of the season for £11 million while Wolfsburg have made the bid for another Chelsea winger, Andre Schurrle at around £25 million, Wolfsburg had already signed Kevin De Bruyne as they continue to chase the signature of another Chelsea winger.

Cuadrado was one of the brightest players in the World Cup in Brazil and had provided as many assist as Toni Kroos, the pair led the World Cup in that stat. Cuadrado joined Fiorentina from Udinese on a season long loan in 2012 but was signed permanently at the end of the season and has been one of the brightest players in the Serie A but with Fiorentina 6th in the Serie A table and on the verge of missing out on Champions League qualification, Cuadrado might be weighing up his options.

Moving to Chelsea would be a boon for the Blues; Cuadrado is known to be an excellent dribbler and passer of the ball and would take a lot of pressure from the shoulders of Eden Hazard who has looked like the player who looks to take on defenders. Cuadrado would provide Chelsea a much needed attacking and creative spark which has been needed, especially with the likes of Salah and Schurrle struggling to create an impression for the Blues boss. Jose Mourinho’s team is still in the League cup, FA Cup and the Champions league and are leading the Premier League from their rivals, Manchester City by 5 points.
