Having lost some valuable ground at the top of the Premier League table, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are now in danger of losing out on a place in the top-4 of the points table, come the end of the season.
They are yet to win a Premier League game in 2017 and are currently 13 points off Chelsea at the top of the table and the manager has come under severe scrutiny for not being able to change things around in the last couple of weeks.
The squad however, has enough quality to qualify for Europe this season and the manager is already looking at players who can help them in the upcoming campaign.
The Reds are expected to fight on all four fronts next season and are looking to strengthen every aspect of their squad and one player who is now linked with a move to Anfield in the summer is Leicester City star Demarai Gray.
The 20-year old is an exciting talent that has earned Klopp’s praise for his performances this season and English media outfit Independent claim that the Reds are ready to move for him in the summer.
Liverpool were previously linked with the youngster not so long ago when he was a sparkling at Birmingham but Leicester City managed to steal him away.
However, with a winger now of prime essence at Anfield, Klopp wants to make a move for the English star who has experience in the Premier League.
Sadio Mane remains the only senior winger in the squad at the moment and the lack of players who can provide width in attack has already hurt the side this season.
The manager is looking to address this issue and is planning on raiding the Bundesliga with the likes of Christian Pulisic and Julian Brandt linked with a move to Anfield.
However, it is now understood that Klopp is monitoring the status of the Leicester City man and wants to meet his asking price at the end of the season.
At just 20, Gray has plenty of time to establish himself as a star player and Klopp is determined to get him to Anfield to develop him in the future.
He is not expected to walk into the first team but will act as an under-study to the likes of Mane before he can establish himself at the club.
Brandt and Gray are not the only stars linked with moves to Anfield in the summer as Jurgen Klopp seems to be planning a overhaul at the end of the season.
