Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring in five new players to bolster his squad as the Reds are set to play in Champions League next season, according to The Independent.
The German manager is keen to make key signings to his squad as they are still areas where the club are looking weak. The report suggests that Klopp is keen to add one left-back, a forward, a central midfielder and a centre-half during the summer transfer window.
Liverpool have been using James Milner as their left back but the German is determined to land a top left back. Andrew Robertson from Hull City is expected to be his top target as the 23-year old has impressed.
It is also believed the Reds are keen to land Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham as the 17-year old has been sesnational with the Championship side this season. A £15million bid for Sessegnon would be a statement by Klopp in the summer.
The Reds are also expected to raid on Bundesliga’s surprise package RB Leipzig with Liverpool keen to sign striker 21-year-old forward Werner and 22-year-old midfielder Keita.
Werner has been sensational in front of goal as he has managed to score 21 league goals and are competed well with the likes of Aubameyang and Lewandowski. Meanwhile, Keita has been an engine for Leipzig as he controlled the midfield and has played a massive role in Leipzig’s second place finish.
Jurgen Klopp is also looking to weigh a bid for Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk and the Dutch defender is set to be Reds’ top target in the summer. The Saints centre back has been in prime form and has drawn interest from numerous Premier League clubs which also include Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
The Reds will have to sign him early in the summer as the delay could increase competition for the 26-year old Dutch international. Jurgen Klopp will face real test in the upcoming season as he is yet to deliver a league title to the club and will be eyeing to fulfill his promise of winning the Premier League in his first three years.
