Liverpool have looked an exciting outfit since the time German maestro Jurgen Klopp took over the squad.
The new manager made a number of changes to the squad in the summer and has bought in a number of quality players to help him in his adventure in the Premier League.
However, there are still a couple of positions in the squad that needs to be strengthened and one such place is the defensive midfielders position for which Klopp has not real quality in the squad.
Emre Can, the German midfielder is expected to take that place in the squad but Klopp had his eyes set on another German midfielder to add to his squad in the summer.
Borussia Monchengladbach’s Mahmoud Dahoud, who was on the radar of the Reds for almost the entire summer, was not ready to make a move away from Germany and decided to snub the Anfield offer to stay at the club this season.
However, with just 2 years left on his contract, Dahoud, as reported, rejected an extension and is all but up for sale after the end of the current season.
It is also revealed that Dahoud has a €10m (£8.4m) release clause next summer which will see a host of clubs join the Reds in his pursuit and one such club who is now making their interest heard is Italian giants Juventus.
Juventus, who lost Paul Pogba to Manchester United this summer, were not able to replace him with a top class name and are now looking at Dahoud to add to their midfield next summer.
It is reported that Juventus had scouts watching the 20-year old in the recent international break where he was a part of the German U21 squad taking on Slovakia and Finland.
It is understood that the German outfit have resigned on keeping him at the club and are looking for possible suitors to offload him maybe even before the summer.
Monchengladbach are ready to offer the 20-year old to Liverpool in January for a higher price than his release clause but with Juventus also interested in his signature, both clubs will have to fight for him once the transfer window re-opens.
Do you think Liverpool can get Dahoud in January or next summer?
