The Klopp era started at Liverpool yesterday with a 0-0 draw against Spurs at White Hart Lane.
Considering his first game in charge of the Reds and missing several big names with injuries, the result was not a bad one to start for the German charismatic manager.
But Klopp is not the type of manager who would take a draw kindly and will look to improve his team as soon as he can.
It is evident that Liverpool’s midfield need some bolstering and Klopp has reportedly set his target on the man who can make it better.
Liverpool are reportedly preparing a transfer bid for Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio, according to Metro.
Marchisio is a key player for Juventus over the years.
Klopp admires the Italian international according to Spanish news outlet Fichajes and he is willing to offer £23.5million for the 29-year-old according to the report.
Last season, Marchisio featured in 52 games for the Italian champions, scored 3 goals and provided 10 assists. The Azzurri star will be a brilliant addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad and can form a solid partnership with the likes of Can and Henderson in Liverpool’s midfield.
However, Juventus will be desperate to keep hold of the Italian international if Paul Pogba decides to make a big money move away from the Serie A outfit.
According to Metro, both Arsenal and Manchester United admires the Italian midfield maestro and come in the way of Liverpool if they move for him.
