Trouble for Liverpool as former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has once against casted a shadow of uncertainity over his future.
Premier League giants Liverpool FC sacked their manager Brendan Rodgers on Sunday, after the club drew against Merseyside rivals Everton 1-1. Liverpool are struggling at the moment in the league as they have failed to win several games this season. The team was not playing properly under Rodgers and before could have got worsen, the top brass of Liverpool have taken wise decision but relieving Brendan Rodgers of his duties.
As soon as Brendan Rodgers was sacked two big names were circulating. One was former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti and the other Jurgen Klopp. Both managers are presently in sabbatical after they left their respective duties a tthe end of last season.
While Ancelotti is a huge name, Jurgen Klopp was always the favorite to take charge of the team at Anfield. Klopp is Liverpool FSG’s darling and they desperately wanted the German at the helm of affairs.
But now, German newspaper Bild has reported that even though it has been speculated that Klopp to Liverpool is just a matter of time, but the manager himself did not endorse any such news.
Speaking to the Bild Klopp said: “There’s nothing to say. Neither a definite yes nor a definite no. I’m going home now.”
Jurgen Klopp apparently said this before laughing and walking away.
As it is being said, Liverpool’s board members are reportedly set to hold a meeting via videophone today where they are expected to rubber-stamp a three-year deal for the German.
It was reported earlier that the the former Dortmund manager has been in contact with Bayern Munich about taking over from Pep Guardiola at the Allianz Arena.
But current and fresh reports suggest that Jurgen Klopp to Liverpool is almost confirmed and an official announcement will be made by the end of this week.
Jurgen Klopp will be perfect fit to Liverpool’s needs. The club has quite a few talented players in the ranks but Brendan Rodgers unfortunately could not bring out the best out of the players.
Klopp’s arrival might drastically change the fate of a giant side who has not tasted big success since a long time. The German who had won the Bundesliha title with a rookie Borussia Dortmund side would likely revamp the giants Liverpool.
