Liverpool are one of the many teams in the EPL that are set to make an overhaul to its squad after the arrival of the new manager Jurgen Klopp.

Among many other star players, recent reports suggested that Jurgen Klopp has had his eye on 6ft 2inch ex-Arsenal player and is understood to be keen on bringing him back to the Premier League.

According to the Mirror, Jurgen Klopp now wants to bring in Norway international Havard Nordtveit to Liverpool this summer as a free transfer from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 25-year old has only 6 months left on his contract and will be free for a transfer away from the club this summer and it is understood that the Liverpool manager wants to add the utility player to his squad for the net season.

Nordtveit has mode over 130 appearances for the German club in his three years and has helped his team playing in several positions including right-back, centre-half, defensive midfield and central midfield, and has notched up four league goals this season.

Out of a contract and available for free, Jurgen Klopp wants this ex-Arsenal player as an addition to his back line.

The Liverpool defense has been under scrutiny ever since the German took over and with a complete overhaul expected, a number of players have been linked with the club in recent past.

Klopp also has had a close look at Nordtveit in his time at Dortmund and has reportedly recognized the 25-year old as a quality addition to the squad.

He was on the books at the Emirates for a number of seasons but was released in 2011 without making a first-team appearance.

He has re-built his career in Germany and would be useful to Klopp as he is equally at home either at full-back or centre-half.
