Vidal had drawn the attention of several clubs including Real Madrid and Manchester United following his performance in the world cup which was instrumental in helping Chile reach the round of 16. He also scored a total of 11 goals in 32 league appearances last season.

However, earlier this week Giuseppe Marotta, CEO Juventus had clearly stated that Vidal was “not for sale” and was happy at Turin.Vidal’s personal statement to the Chilean media seems to be in line with Marotta’s.

“It’s difficult to speak of other teams when you are already at a top club,” Vidal told Chilean media.

“I have won the Serie A title three times and I respect my team-mates. I don’t feel I have completed a cycle at Juventus. Perhaps I will remain at Juventus all my life.

“I have heard about the interest shown by Real Madrid and Manchester United in me but there is someone else, my agent, who deals with this.”

There is, however, still room for speculation as Massimiliano Allegri takes over the managerial duties of Juventus from Antonio Conte this season but the for the most part it seems highly unlikely that Vidal will play at Old Trafford this season, much to the disappointment of Manchester United fans. Louis Van Gaal will have to look harder to find a player who can strengthen United’s midfield, which has been pitiful in the last season.

Vidal is also linked to a move to Anfield as Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers wants to strengthen his squad.  The Chilean international and his team-mate Paul Pogba are both linked to several top clubs including Liverpool. Liverpool have the money to buy top players in the summer after the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.  As of now, it remains to be seen if Juventus can keep their star players and if the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United can persuade them.
