After there and a half years at the Merseyside, Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez left to play for the Catalan giants Barcelona in 2014. Almost two years since his transfer to Spain, El Pistolero has spoken about life after Barcelona.

The Barcelona number 9 made himself one of the best players to ever dawn a Liverpool jersey in his stint at the club and almost took the Reds to a Premier League title in the 2013/14 season under Brendan Rodgers.

He scored 82 goals in 133 appearances for the club before earning a 75 million transfer to play alongside the likes of Messi and Neymar.

Suarez at 29 is now at the peak of his game and has been in scintillating form in Spain but will be aware that his time at the Catalan giants will be limited. While speaking to the media recently, he discussed his long term fans and put a smile on every Liverpudlian.

The former number 7 hinted at a move back to the Premier League after his stint in Spain and said that he would only dawn the liverbird jersey if he makes a comeback to England.

“You never know what will happen in the future,” he said this week.

“If I was to return to England, it would be to play for Liverpool—not for any other team.”

Suarez in his time at the club was one of a true fan favorite and every one at Liverpool just adored him. This is one of the reasons for Suarez’ affection towards the club.

“I’ve missed the fans,” he continued.

“The atmosphere is incredible, it’s incredible.

“Everyone who has played for Liverpool knows how important the fans are—they know they will always be in my heart.”

Though the Uruguayan may not return to the Premier League it is a good sign for Liverpool a club that has recently lost it identity to mediocrity.

Suarez came back to Anfield after his move to Barcelona for a charity game and was well received by the Kop and if Suarez decides to comeback to Merseyside, it will surely make him a legend in the eyes of the Reds.

Do you think Suarez will ever come back to the Premier League?
