Jurgen Klopp’s side will now to complete their first signing of the new year, as it has been confirmed by recent reports all over the news now. Liverpool will look to sign Marko Grujic from Red Star Belgrade, with a medical set to take place today, after which the announcement could be officially made by the club and the player’s representatives. The 19-year-old midfield superstar himself confirmed that the move to Anfield was on, via his official Facebook account, as he stated in a post:

“On 4th January I will become a Liverpool player.”

Since his arrival, though the German manager has surely improved things at the Merseyside outfit, their recent form has not been the best and there is still a lot of room for improvement still.

Keeping that in mind, the Reds will now look to add the Serbian U-21 international to their squad in January, though there have been further claims stating that he will return to his former club on loan, till the end of the current campaign.

Grujic will be back with Red Star to complete the Serbian season, as his current club are at the moment leading the title race with a massive 25-point lead and have not been beaten in their last 22 domestic games.

The club could be playing Champions League next term, but Grujic will not be part of the squad as he will be playing in England for Klopp’s side then, should the deal go through.

Hopefully the youngster is talented enough to be a star for the future and can make a difference for his new club.
