Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard and former hero Jamier Carragher hosted a LFC All-star charity game at Anfield, that gave a chance to the likes of Fernando Torres, Xabi Alonso, Luis Suarez, Pepe Reina, Luis Garcia and others to say a final goodbye to the Anfield crowd.

It was a memorable come back for Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez as the Anfield crowd gave them a huge reception when they were introduced in the second half. For the first time it looked like Liverpool fans have forgiven Fernando Torres and the famous ‘Fernando Torres Liverpool’s number nine’ chant was sung by the Kop throughout the game. The loudest cheers were reserved for Luis Suarez as he returned to Anfield for the first time since joining Barcelona in the summer. The Kop kept singing his name and thanked him for the beautiful memories. Xabi Alonso like Torres and Suarez was received very well by the supporters and admitted: ‘It felt like I’d come back home.’
