On a day when Steven Gerrard announces that he is leaving Liverpool at the end of the current season, no news can please a Liverpool fan. But think again, what if Liverpool are already planning his return to Anfield next season?

As things stand, Steevn Gerrard looks to be Major League Soccer’s next marquee signing and he will be presented before the American SOCCER fans as early as July. Gerrard will join LA Galaxy, as per various reports in the MLS season, which is due to start very soon.

In the past season we have seen what has happened to the marquee signings of MLS, they all have had a stint with European clubs. Robbie Keane had with Spurs, Thierry Henry played for Arsenal and who can forget David Beckham’s epic move to Milan. As per the reports from Telegraph, Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers have already started to plan for Gerrard’s return in January 2016 when MLS will be in its rest period.

Brendan Rodgers is a big admirer of Gerrard’s play and he desperately wanted Gerrard to continue playing for Liverpool, but Gerrard seems to have made his mid up to move to America so that he wol not have to face his favourite club.

Liverpool would hope, Gerrard would oblige to their request differently than what he has done to the new contract offer. Steven Gerrard and Liverpool have been very graceful in carrying this emotional split and if things fall in place, Liverpool fans will get to see their hero, their idol and captain fantastic Steven Gerrard play in a Liverpool shirt next season again.
