Ever since Jurgen Klopp took over the Anfield outfit, he has changed a lot of things at the club in less than a season and is set to make more changes after the end of the season when the manager gets the first chance to bring in a squad that will suit his playing style.

Liverpool are expected to change a number of personnel from the current squad as the manager looks to not only strengthen the squad but also add quality to it.

The likes of Joel Matip and Marko Grujic have already been acquired by the English franchise and a number of other players are set to make the move to the club this summer.

The biggest story linked to the club is the German starlet Mario Gotze.

Gotze, has been unsettled ever since moving to Bayern from Dortmund and wants to move away from Germany due to lack of playing time.

He is expected to favor a re-union with Jurgen Klopp and is widely tipped off to play for Liverpool next season.

Ilkay Gundagon is another player who is monitored by the Anfield outfit.

He has been in superb form this season for Dortmund and is one of the hottest players in Europe this summer.

The likes of Arsenal and Manchester United are also interested in the mid-fielder and Liverpool will have to fight it out in the summer if they are to get hands on their player for the next season.

And yet another German has been recently linked with a move to Anfield as Cologne defender Jonas Hector is understood to be on the wish-list for Jurgen Klopp this summer.

The 25-year old has been impressive this season and has cemented a place in the national squad for the EURO16 in France later this year.

He will be an upgrade over the players in the position already in the squad and Klopp is adamant to get the natural left-back to Anfield as he tries to challenge for silverware next season.

With a number of German national targeted, Klopp recently was asked if it had anything to do with his time in the Bundesliga.

Klopp won two Bundesliga titles in his time at Dortmund and it was widely expected that he might raid the German domestic league as soon as he was signed by Liverpool.

However, the manager revealed that they are looking at more than native Germans to add to the squad and explained that the nationality of the player is of least importance.

“We are really global at the start, but it is much more important not where the player comes from, but that it is the right player for us,” Klopp said.

Talking to Sport1, Klopp revealed that he will not sign a player just because he has played in the Bundesliga and explained that they are looking all over Europe for top class talent.

“We will not not sign a player because he is German. That would be nonsense.

“We look not only in the Bundesliga,” he added.

Liverpool play Tottenham at Anfield on Saturday in their first match back from the international break.
