After appointing Jurge Klopp in August last year, Liverpool are heading into one of the most important summers in the recent history as it will be interesting to see the number of changes the manager makes to the squad he inherited from Brendan Rodgers.

The signings of Marko Grujic and Joel Matip were already confirmed officially by the club and it now seems that they have found their next target and are ready to make the move official.

Reports earlier this month claimed that Liverpool are planning to land Malaga mid-fielder Ignacio Camacho. It was also claimed that the Spanish international jetted to England to take a tour of Liverpool’s training grounds.

And now it has emerged that scouts from the Red of Merseyside were present to watch the player in action against Real Madrid in the 1-1 draw last weekend.

English newspaper, Bleacher Report reported that Liverpool are keen on bringing the mid-fielder to Liverpool this summer and that the club is expected to open talks with Malaga over a possible move after the end of the season.

The 25-year old has not been able to set the field on fire in his recent performances but has always been rated highly in his home country.

He is a defensive mid-fielder who loves a crunching tackle or two and will give the likes of Can and Grujic a run for their money if Liverpool make the move and spill the cash.

This will leave Lucas Leiva and Joe Allen in a mix with either or both the players almost certain to leave the club at before the next season.

The Anfield franchise will have to play 7 million euros to get their man and it is also understood that the Spanish side are ready to sell him away from the club.

Do you think Camacho is the right fit for Klopp’s Liverpool?
