Liverpool have started the ground works for their squad re-building for next season by agreeing the transfer for England International striker Danny Ings.
Following the agreement with Burnley striker, the Reds are now moving closer to a transfer deal for Real Sociadad defender Inigo Martinez.
The Spanish defender is already a full time Spain International and has been linked with several teams around Europe including Manchester clubs City and United.
Liverpool, however have acted swiftly in sending their scouts to watch Martinez in recent weeks and now the deal looks imminent.
The 23-year-old defender is a youth product of Real Sociadad and now has gone on to represent the club for over 120 games.
Martinez is eyed as the key signing for Brendan Rodgers ahead of the next season to sure up their fragile defense.
Liverpool look to be on their way of having a successful transfer window having already agreed a transfer for Burnley’s Danny Ings. The striker has scored 10 goals this season and has impressed everyone with his intelligent performances.
Despite being available for a free transfer, Liverpool will have to pay 3-4 million in compensation as set by the tribunal, since the player is still under the age of 24.
