In a bid to strengthen the left-back position of his team, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has joined the race to sign promising Hull City youngster Josh Tymon. The 17-year old, who made his debut for Hull in the FA Cup fourth-round win over Bury at the age of 16, has become one of the hottest young properties in the Premier League after his impressive displays for his team.
Jurgen Klopp is currently playing James Milner at the left-back position after Alberto Moreno made an awful start to the season. But as the German tactician is looking to build a team for the future, he is keen to secure the signing of the England Under-17 international.
According to the reports in The Sun, the Liverpool gaffer had watched the whizkid in the Tigers 2-1 EFL Cup win at Bristol City a few days ago.
The Reds have made one of their finest starts to the season in recent times and are looking like a serious title-contenders. The likes of Phillipe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana have wreaked havoc up front but the defence needs to be sorted out as quickly as possible. Central defenders Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip and right-back Nathaniel Clyne are looking in fine form but the left-back is a major area of concern. Milner has undoubtedly performed well so far but Klopp would be desperate to sign a regular left-back to bolster his defence. The Reds were recently linked with Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac but so far nothing concrete has come out.
Meanwhile, the Merseyside club will have to face a stiff competition in their pursuit of Tymon as according to the report in the English outlet, Arsenal are Everton are also keen to secure the services of the young defender. And the report also claimed that the Tigers are desperate to keep hold of their young asset and have opened talks of a new lucrative deal.
