Liverpool legend, called ‘GOD’ by the fans, Robbie Fowler has welcomed the idea of joining Liverpool again as a part of the backroom staff.

It is evident now that Jurgen Klopp will be appointed as Liverpool manager sooner or later and Fowler has admitted that he would take the opportunity to make a comeback to his beloved Anfield as a backroom staff alongside Klopp.

“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t interested,” Fowler said.

“When a new manager comes in I’d love to be on the backroom staff. Liverpool is a massive part of my life and if that was to be case I’d love that.”

According to all top media, Klopp is favourite for Liverpool job ahead of another candidate Carlo Ancelotti.

“My opinion is that Jurgen Klopp is a very good manager,” Fowler added.

“I’ve never met him but looking as an outsider I was impressed with what he did in Germany for Dortmund.”

“I like what I see and it’s exactly the same with Carlo Ancelotti. I like his manner, I like Jurgen’s manner and the way they get their teams playing great football.”

“We deserve that at Liverpool. Both of those managers can supply that.”

Asked about Rodgers’ reign and the decision to sack him, Fowler said: “Brendan done okay. He never got us to what we wanted but he came very close.

“I don’t think he was a failure as such. Football is a result business and if you are not getting the ones you want, not winning leagues or cups, questions will be asked and sadly for him that was the case.”

“He was a very good Liverpool manager. I liked him as a man and as a manager. I thought his man-management style was very good.”

“But the club have said they want a change. It’s the club’s idea and we all stand by that decision.”
