It seems Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is eyeing to raid his former club Borussia Dortmund as according to reports, the German tactician is planning to make an offer of £11 million for highly-rated Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic.
However, according to the Daily Express, the German giants are desperate to keep their prized asset at Dortmund and will resist any offer for the American wonderkid. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see Pulisic’s reaction as Borussia Dortmund have signed a number of attacking players this summer with Mario Götze, Emre Mor, Ousmane Dembélé, and André Schürrle joining the likes of Shinji Kagawa and Marco Reus. It’s plenty of competition and it is highly unlikely that he will get much time in the first-team.
Klopp worked with the youngster during his time at Dortmund, where the 17-year-old was in the club’s academy. Pulisic grabbed the limelights when he scored two goals after being promoted to the first-team back in February. At such a young age, he is already a full USA international and has earned six caps.
The Merseyside club has a busy transfer window this summer with the arrival of several players but Klopp still wants to bolster his squad.
Klopp, who took charge at Liverpool last season, has already signed Joel Matip, Loris Karius, Ragnar Klavan and Alex Manninger from the Bundesliga.
