According to the report from Daily Telegraph, Liverpool are keen to sign Bayern Munich’s star midfielder Mario Gotze he expressed his desire to leave his current employers. The 23-year old play-maker have failed to make an impact since his move to Allianz Arena from bitter rivals Dortmund back in 2013.
He is often used as an effective substitute in important matches under Guardiola. The Spanish manager often used Thomas Muller as an attacking midfielder behind Robert Lewandowski and Robben playing in his preffered right wing.
Gotze were also mostly played in out of position as he is used in the squad when Ribery was injured. He often played on the left wing which made it difficult for the player to play out of his preffered position for most of the last season.
The 23-year old had a row with club management and is looking to leave in the coming weeks. The club director commented they did not receive any offers for the world cup winner.
The German international also pulled off from press meet earlier today which has drawn interest from the Reds. The Reds are looking to sign a quality player with the money they got from the sale of Raheem Sterling to Manchester City.
The 23-year old play-maker is rated at £49.6m by Bayern Munich and the Reds are keen to sign him for a cheaper price amid interest from Italian giants Juventus.
