Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Swansea

After picking up just a point from the trip to Old Trafford, Liverpool were back to winning ways earlier this week as they managed to step into the 4th round of the FA Cup  this season. They will now have to focus on the domestic league where they are 7 points off Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table. They have a great chance of reducing the deficit this weekend when they face a struggling Swansea City side at home. Paul Clement’s side are currently rock bottom in the points table but are not too far away from safety. They lost their previous game to Arsenal at home but will expected to put in a better performance at Anfield this week. However, Klopp is expected to go for the kill and will field his strongest side. Here is the predicted lineup that Jurgen Klopp might play for this game:

Team News:

Sadio Mane (AFCON) and Danny Ings are both missing from this fixture for the home side. Defender Nathaniel Clyne is back in training and is expected to start this game with skipper Jordan Henderson who is also back from an injury. Philippe Coutinho is also set for his first PL start in more than a month but defender Joel Matip is not yet eligible to play and should miss this game.

Expected lineup (4-3-3):

Simon Mignolet:

The Belgian has been sublime in front of goal for Liverpool this season and should keep his place in the side for this game.

Nathaniel Clyne:

Though missed the game at the Old Trafford, Clyne, is back in training, and is expected to replace Trent AA at right back for this weekend.

Dejan Lovren:

The senior defender in the absence of Matip, Lovren, has been superb in the last few games and should keep his place at the back.

Ragnar Klavan:

An unused substitute in the game against Plymouth, Klavan, has been decent in Matip’s absence and should start this game against Swansea.

James Milner:

The scorer of the only goal at the Old Trafford for Liverpool, Milner, will be high on confidence and will hope to have a decent game against the Swans.

Jordan Henderson:

The skipper was not at his best at the Old Trafford but this game will suit his style of play and he will hope to be more effective this weekend.

Emre Can:

The German midfielder has not been able to put in consistent performances this season but Klopp will hope for a decent outing from him on the night.

Georginio Wijnaldum:

Still settling into his role at Anfield, Wijnaldum, is growing confident by the game and will hope to have an impact on the game against Swansea.

Adam Lallana:

The English midfielder has been in sizzling form recently and though he was ineffective at the Old Trafford, he is expected to play a huge role at Anfield.

Roberto Firmino:

The Brazil star has been effective as a false-9 this season and he is expected to start in a similar position in the league this weekend.

Philippe Coutinho:

The midfielder missed more than a month of action for Liverpool with an injury but he got an hour under his belt against Plymouth and should get his first start in over a month in the league against Swansea.
