Anwar El Ghazi
Tottenham chasing Ajax youngster Anwar El Ghazi

Liverpool are reportedly looking to sign highly rated Ajax winger Anwar El-Ghazi, according to Italian news outlet Il Tempo.

The Dutch club is looking for a sum around £15m to let the player go as the 21-year old has had a very impressive spell at Ajax last season.

He managed to score 11 goals in 27 league games last season. However, the reds need to fight Italian giants Lazio as well as Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg if they want to sign the Dutch international.

Ajax are demanding such a fee for the youngster as they are considering his age and potential. However, it’s uncertain whether Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool would splash out such a fee for him. But the Dutch club are well aware of the potential suitors and believe their price could be met in the current inflated market.

A move for the winger is very much on the cards as Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic’s future remains unclear at the club and the player is expected to leave the club in the coming days. Lazio were reportedly interested in signing the young Serbian winger.

Liverpool would require the funds from the Markovic deal in order to sanction a purchase for El Ghazi as Klopp is expected to go into the market if Markovic leaves the club. The player have also drawn interest from Tottenham earlier.
