Liverpool officials have flown to Barcelona to negotiate a deal for Barcelona wonderkid Adama Traore, according to Spanish media Sport.

Liverpool are extremely busy in this transfer window signing as many as seven players in the form of James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan, Joe Gomez, Roberto Firmino, Nathaniel Clyne and Christian Benteke and now looking to finalise the signing of the 19 year old youngster.

The 19-year-old, who is a target for Manchester United, was expected to join the Red Devils this summer, with United said to be set to pay his release clause.

But after they stalled on a deal, Liverpool have moved in and Spanish outlet RAC1 says senior Reds officials have travelled to Barcelona to wrap up a deal for the winger.

Liverpool may sign him on a season loan with an option to make it permanent next season.

Sport reported that the winger attracted interest from a number of clubs after the reserve side were relegated to Segunda B division.

Traore joined Barcelona’s youth setup in 2004 at the age of eight and in 2013 he was promoted to the club’s ‘B’ team, before making his debut later that year.

Traore played his first La Liga game at the age of only 17, replacing Neymar in a home win over Granada and just a few days later he also played in his first Champions League match.

The winger has appeared 4 times for the Catalan giants and 63 times for the Barcelona ‘B’ team.

Capped 22 times for different Spanish youth set ups, the young man was a part of Barcelona’s youth team which won UEFA Youth Cup in 2013-14.
