According to Tuttomercatoweb, Liverpool have registered their interest in signing Florentina striker Mario Gomez. The 29-year old is frustrated with lack of playing time at the Italian club and is reportedly looking to move away from Florentina this summer.
The German International who has won treble with Bayern Munich moved on to join Florentina back in 2013 and has failed in the Italian league. Gomez is looking for a move to Premier League and Liverpool are keen to secure his services.
Gomez has scored only ten goals last season for Florentina but has always been a star striker throughout his career posing great threat to opposing defense.
Liverpool are looking to sign a quality striker this summer and having already secured Danny Ings, they are looking to add more experience to their attack. Gomez has been out of touch in Italy but he could well adapt to Premier League.
The striker is also keen for a new challenge after losing his place in German national team and has been looking to impress Low with his performances in premier League.
The reds has been aggressive in this transfer window and could very well sign the striker who has a whopping 166 league goals in his career for all the clubs he played for.
