Liverpool transfer round-up: 4 out and 1 new updates

It has been a rather sedate day for the Anfield outfit in the transfer window with the team not really linked with too many players.

The manager and the squad is getting ready for their game against AS Roma on Monday (early hours of Tuesday IST) and have not really looked at adding big names to their squad today.

However, Klopp still has to look into the transfer window to add some strength and depth to certain positions in his squad. The German revealed that this team is now close to what he wants at the club and he will now be looking to establish the best XI for his going into the next season.

The manager will want healthy competition for places in the squad and will add a few more players before the start of the next season. So let’s take a look at all the stories surrounding the Reds today:

Jetro Williems linked again:

The Dutch international who is currently playing in Netherlands for PSV Eindhoven was linked with a move to Anfield earlier in the month but all such rumors dies away recently.

However, the left-back has now opened up about his future and revealed that there are a number of clubs that are looking to sign him this summer. Though he did not hint at leaving PSV this summer, he did reveal that he is still to decide on his next move and this has alerted the Red of Merseyside according to reports.

With Alberto Moreno as the only option in that place, Klopp may make a move for him in the coming days.

Luis Alberto still at Liverpool:

The Reds moved for the exciting Spaniard a few years ago on a £6.8million deal but have not been impressed by his progress ever since.

He has not been able to establish himself under Brendan Rodgers and it is understood that Jurgen Klopp sees him as surplus to requirements. So he is up for sale this summer and was on the verge of a £6m move to Sevilla, his former club. That deal fell through as the two clubs could not fix on a price and it is now revealed that Alberto is still at Anfield.

But a host of Championship clubs including Woves, QPR and Aston Villa are said to be interested in his signature.

Lucas Leiva to move away this week:

According to reports in Turkey, Liverpool are close to agreeing a deal for the experienced midfielder to leave the club this summer.

The Brazilian international, Lucas Leiva, is out of favor at Liverpool this summer and is set to be on his way out of the club. Turkish outfit Galatasaray are extensively linked with a move for the midfielder and it is now understood that the two clubs have agreed on a price for the 29-year old.

It is revealed that a fee in the region of £3m is agreed between the teams and that an official announcement is due in the coming days.

Allan Rodriguez to stay in Germany on loan:

The 19-year old midfielder is currently one of the most exciting players for Liverpool out on loan.

He is regarded highly by the Liverpool manager and is expected to represent the senior side in years to come. But it is understood that his exploits with Hertha Berlin have got him another season in Germany on loan. It is revealed that Pal Dardai was impressed with the 19-year old in the trails and a practice game and is ready to give him a chance next season.

Liverpool are not open to a sale leaving a loan deal as the only possible outcome and it is understood that the two clubs will sit down to talk about the terms of such a deal.

Lazar Markovic to Schalke:

The Serbian winger has been linked with a move to many clubs recently but this link comes after a recent development in the transfer market.

It was revealed earlier that Leroy Sane, the 20-year old German starlet has agreed to move to Manchester City and was in England for a medical ahead of a move to the Etihad this summer. This has left the German side in the market for a winger and Liverpool’s Lazar Markovic is reportedly on their radar.

The 22-year old has not been able to impress Klopp in his outings in the pre-season but he has loads of potential and may have a chance to flourish in Germany if he makes the move.
