Liverpool Transfer Roundup: 2 New Links; 2 Transfer Blows and One Huge Update

Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool have made an insane progress from the start of the previous season as the German maestro has already worked his magic on the squad at the club.

The Reds are alive in all the domestic competitions even in January and will hope to take at least one silverware home come the end of the season. But they might have to add a few players to the squad to keep it fresh and fit for the business end of the season.

This has seen the club linked with a number of star players recently and here are all such transfer rumours coming out of Anfield today:

Franck Kessie a wanted man:

The Reds have been looking for midfielders to add to their squad this January and have had an eye on Inter Milan’s Franck Kessie for some time now.

Everton have recently had a £15m bid rejected while Chelsea are also plotting a move. The player is currently busy at the AFCON but Klopp is adamant that he wants him in his team for the rest of the season and is ready to make a move and fight with their PL opponents for their man this January. Liverpool bid for Juventus star:

The Reds are interested in the signature of a number of youngsters from around Europe recently and Juventus’ Francesco Cassata is the latest name doing the rounds.

The 19-year old is an academy graduate at Turin and his performances have caught the eye of the German at the helm of Anfield. Liverpool are now determined to land him and have made a bid of £8.7m to land their man this month. (Gianluca Di Marzio)

Liverpool recall defender:

The Reds do not have a huge squad and not many players from the club are out on loan at the moment.

But one player that is out on loan but is now back at Anfield is defender Sam Hart. Having made just 12 starts in over 5 months for League One club Port Vale, Liverpool have now terminated his loan deal and are ready to use him regularly in the junior squad. (Express)

Tah to stay:

The Reds are also looking at defenders to make their backline stronger and have been linked with Jonathan Tah of Bayer Leverkusen.

The 20-year old is an attractive option for Klopp who is desperate for him but the defender today revealed that he is not ready for a move and that he is currently happy in the Bundesliga. “I am very happy at Bayer Leverkusen. I don’t want to leave,” Tah said in an interview recently. (Express)

Juventus want Can:

The Reds are not really fighting to keep hold of their star player but Italian giants Juventus are now plotting a move for first team star Emre Can.

The 22-year old midfielder has been off colour at times this season but is integral to the plans at Anfield for Klopp but the Turin outfit are in search of a midfielder and are ready to approach the Reds for the German international for a move this January. (Mirror)
