Looking forward to playing against Atletico: Ribery

Munich, May 2 (IANS) Bavarian football giants Bayern Munich’s winger Franck Ribery has said he is looking forward to playing against Atletico Madrid in Tuesday’s second leg of the Champions League semi-final here.

The Frenchman came off the bench in the second half of the first leg away against Atletico where Bayern suffered a 0-1 defeat.

He then had to sit out a Bundesliga tie against Borussia Monchengladbach, after complaining of a back problem, but he insists that he is ready to play again.

“I am doing a lot better,” Ribery was quoted as saying by goal.com.

“I have been doing some running and will resume squad training on Monday.”

“I am ready for the game against Atletico. I am really looking forward to playing against them. I have to play.”
