Real Madrid youngster, Lucas Vasquez has been unsettled at the club at his current predicament as he feels he should be gaining more playing time at his tender age to advance his career. This has caused clubs like Deportivo la Coruna and Levante to enquire about his availability from the Madrid club. The attacking midfielder is 6th choice player at his position as he is currently behind Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Isco, Mateo Kovacic and James Rodriguez in the pecking order. As there has been a change in the management at the club, there has been a great change in his situation and he has requested a loan move at the very least.
This news comes on the back of news that Perez had himself blocked a move for Vasquez back to Espanyol, where he previously plied his trade. This had given Lucas hope that Perez actually rated him but the lack of opportunities afforded prove otherwise and hence there is a change of mentality from the young player. The fact that Victor Sanchez del Amo, the manager of Deportivo, is an ex-Real Madrid player and has been masterminding a brilliant season for the club makes that a more viable destination for Lucas than the likes of Espanyol or Levante.
A major factor in any dealing would be the impending transfer ban which will be imposed on both the Madrid clubs. If there is a failure to repeal the ban, losing Vasquez would be deplorable for the club as they wouldn’t be able to sign a replacement for him and might eventually hurt the club in case there is an injury crisis to the Real Madrid squad.
