Former Liverpool FC striker and current FC Barcelona star Luis Suarez has revealed that he is glad have left the Reds last summer to join FC Barcelona.

Luis Suarez, a blue eyed boy at Liverpool, was sold to Barcelona just after the FIFA World Cup 2014 for huge transfer fee of £75 million.

The Uruguayan international said that he was glad to have joined ‘the best club in the world’ and that he wanted to win trophies here. Also the move was necessary for his family.

He was quoted by Sport360“Leaving Liverpool for Barcelona was the right decision.

“Winning trophies was a part of my decision in joining Barcelona, but also as a family we knew it was the right decision even before I won a trophy. 

“I am very happy at Barcelona – I am at the best club in the world.”

Luis Suarez won the treble in his debut season. He played 37 games in total for Barcelona and scored 23 goals and provided 17 assists. Along with Neymar and Lionel Messi he formed the most deadliest attcking trio in the world now.

He further said that his target is to win more and more trophies at the Catalan club. 

Suarez added: “If you look at some of the players here they have won trophies season after season, and that is my aim now.

“We enjoyed our moment last season, but now it is about a new challenge.”
