Manchester United is the latest entrant in the race for gaining Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Pierre is a Gabonese international player who plays for Borussia Dortmund and has scored 22 goals in just 18 games in the current campaign- including 17 in 14 league matches.

Currently, Aubameyang is valued at £42m with Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool in the race for him. Van Gaal has watched him many times this season and is convinced that Man U will get the necessary dynamism in its play if he joins the team Manchester United have scored the less number of goals compared to the top five in the Premier league table.

Aubameyang is capable of playing wide or up front and will be a valuable asset for Manchester United and would add firepower to their dry line-up. He has unique celebrations after scoring the goal and dons batman and spider-man masks while celebrating. His current contract with Dortmund doesn’t end until 2020, but Van Gaal is determined to bid for him in as early as January.

Dortmund have little chance in holding onto him, considering the fact he has been scoring very well and is one of the deadliest strikers in Europe as of now. Aubameyang was a finalist for BBC African Footballer of the Year, who would bring the required pace Manchester United severely needs.

Van Gaal is also desperately trying to bring Neymar for any fee to sort out the issues and it has to be how successful it will be as there are chances that Barcelona may have to release one of their elite players soon.

Aubameyang has beaten the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar and Jamie Vardy and is in excellent form in Bundesliga this season. Rumours have it that Liverpool is watching him closely and that he is ready to reunite with former boss Jurgen Klopp.

This striker is being watched by big names all around the world and it has to be seen where he lands up finally, with van Gaal on his toes to grab him.
