Klopp new era with Liverpool has not gone according to plan as the team has just not been able to settle into the ‘heavy metal football’ the German likes.
Going into a week with back to back fixtures against Arsenal and Manchester United, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that star player Phillipe Coutinho will not be available atleast till the first week of February.
The Brazilian maestro was one of the three players who picked up a hamstring injury during the 1-0 victory at Stoke. Dejan Lovren and Kolo Toure were also in discomfort and were replaced during the game.
The two defenders are expected to return to the squad this month but Coutinho will be out till February confirmed Klopp.
“Phil’s is more serious than Dejan and Kolo but none of these players will be available on Friday,” said manager Jurgen Klopp.
“Kolo should be available next week, Dejan will be available after Manchester United. Phil needs one or two weeks longer.
As many as 6 first team players are absent for Liverpool for their trip to Exter. Mamadou Sakho is also out injured leaving Liverpool with no first choice center back for the FA Cup game.
This has seen the German manager go into the transfer market for more recruitments before the end of January where they might play a total of 6 matches from now.
