Manchester City 2-1 Arsenal: Twitter Reacts As Arsenal Suffer Two Defeats In A Row
Dec 18, 2016 at 11:49 PM
Arsenal’s hopes of winning the title took a huge blow after Arsene Wenger’s men suffered their second consecutive defeat in the Premier League as they lost 2-1 to Manchester City and are now 9 points of adrift of table-toppers Chelsea.
Theo Walcott gave the Gunners a dream start at the Etihad when he fired them to lead in the fifth minute. The visitors walked into the break with a one-goal cushion but Pep Guardiola’s men tightened up the things after the break and drew level in the 47th minute when Leroy Sane sprang the offside trap and fired past Petr Cech. The home team was completely dominating the game and deservedly took the lead in the 71st minute when Rahim Sterling scored from a sublime pass by Kevin de Bruyne.
With this win, City has jumped up to second in the table while the Gunners have dropped to fourth.

When Brazil won World Cup for 3rd time they were given trophy to keep. Arsenal should be permanently given the 4th spot. They've earned it.

In the space of a week, Arsenal have gone from being in front of Chelsea on GD in 1st to being 9 points behind in 4th.
Absolutely unreal.

No Aguero, No striker, one centre back, No Fenandinho, No Hart. CLICHY in defence and in poor run of form. Such an Arsenal thing to lose.

Arsenal should be grateful for Petr Cech. If it wasn't for his extra 15 points, they'd currently be 12th.
