According to latest reports, Manchester City are lining up a bid for Bayern Munich star winger Arjen Robben. The 31-year old has been in the form of his life but a late-season injury ruled him out of season with the veteran missing crucial fixtures as Bayern were knocked out in both cup and Champions League.

The Dutch winger has been the best goal-scorer for Bayern this season and has been their go to man in crunch games. With the winger approaching his last few years, Bayern look to cash on the winger as they want to revamp their squad this summer.

Manuel Pellegrini is a huge admirer of the player as he coached him back at Real Madrid. An addition of Robben’s quality would surely be enough for Manchester City to challenge for Premier League next season.

The player has been a huge hit at Chelsea during his first spell back in 2004 before eventually moving to Real Madrid and then to Bayern Munich where he became the world’s best right winger.

The winger has scored a mammoth 71 goals in 127 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern during his six years spell. Manchester City needs to spend as much as £24million for the player’s transfer.
