According to reports in TalkSport, English giants Liverpool are facing competition from Premier League rivals Leicester City and French club Rennes for Brazilian striker Luan.

The Brazil international scored 17 goals for Gremio last season and is currently playing a crucial role for his team at the on-going Rio Olympics where his three goals and two assists have helped the  Selecao to reach the finals where they will play against world champions Germany.

Meanwhile, Brazilian outlet Zero Hora has claimed that Liverpool’s arch rivals Manchester United have now joined the race for the Brazilian forward. The report claimed that  Gremio are demanding £39million for the striker.

Spanish newspaper Sport suggested earlier this month that the Merseyside club were keen to bring the forward to Anfield but the Brazilian side are desperate to keep their prized asset and rejected Liverpool’s approach.

The English clubs are not the only teams in contention to sign the highly rated striker as Zero Hora claimed that Italian giants Juventus are also tracking the forward.
