ICC 2015: Manchester United 0-2 PSG, French champions bruised aside poor Man Utd to lifted the cup

The winning streak of Manchester United has been stopped by Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain defeats Louis van Gaal’s side 2-0 in the International Champions Cup at Soldie field, Chicago.

Paris Saint-Germain lifted the United States leg of the International Champions Cup as MAnchester United suffered in defense.

Both teams fielded very strong line ups.

Manchester United starting line up was:

David De Gea, Matteo Darmian, Phil Jones, Daley Blind, Luke Shaw, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Carrick, Young, Memphis Depay, Juan Mata, Rooney

PSG starting line up was:

Trapp, van der Wiel, Aurier, Thiago Silva, Maxwell, Veratti, Stambouli, Matuidi, Augustin, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lucas Moura

Manchester United’s defensive lapses were exploited by PSG in front of 61,351 fans at Chicago and van Gaal must reinforce it that particular area.

France international Matuidi outmuscled Jones and Shaw for the opening goal in the 25th minute, and the United duo were at fault again nine minutes later as Sweden captain Ibrahimovic doubled the lead with ease.

PSG’s third win in four matches and one draw won them the International Champions Cup with one point ahead of defending champions Manchester United.

PSG were level on points with New York Red Bulls but they scored one more goal than the American side.

Both teams had few more chances to score but failed to capitalise them.
