In an hilarious incident last night, Premier League giants Manchester United congratulated their midfielder Maroaune Fellaini on twitter for being an unused substitute in Belgium’s triumph over Andorra.

Belgium defeated Andorra 4-1 to secure their spot in the European Championship 2016. Chelsea and Machester City stars Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne were among the goals for Marc Wilmots’ side after Radja Nainggolan’s deflected effort had opened the scoring.

Manchester United player Marouane Fellaini was not introduced in the game by Marc Wilmot as Belgium thrashed the minnows.

But to everyone’s surprise Manchester United official twitter handle congratulated Fellaini and said: “Another mufc star has helped his country reach Euro 2016 – congratulations to Fellaini, who was an unused sub in Belgium’s win in Andorra.”

The tweet read:

Even though Fellaini did not play a part in this game, he played an important role for Belgium in qualifying, scoring goals in the wins over Bosnia-Herzegovina, Israel and Cyprus.
