Manchester United Daily Digest: Four New Faces In Training And Plenty Of Transfer Rumours

After a sweet victory over Manchester City last week, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United displayed a mediocre performance as they failed to score against a gritty Burnley side at Old Trafford this weekend.
Manchester United will now shift their focus to their trip to Istanbul in the Europa League and will hope to put on a better show against Fenerbahçe on November 3.
Mourinho is not really satisfied with his squad this season and has been on the look-out for stars to add to his armoury. The club has been busy on the day with a number of stories coming out of Old Trafford.

Benfica Star Happy With His Current Situation:
Manchester United have been interested in signing Benfica youngster Goncalo Guedes. The 19-year-old has been impressive for the Portuguese outfit and is one of the most exciting youngsters around in Europe.
The Red Devils are interested in his signature in January 2017 but he has now revealed that he’s happy at Benfica and will stay there till the end of the season. (Record)
Manchester United In For Sunderland Man:
Jose Mourinho is visibly unhappy with the options he has at his disposal for few places in the squad.
The centre back pairing of Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly has not been the strongest and the manager is now ready to make a move for Sunderland star Lamine Kone in January next year. Everton, West Ham United, and Chelsea are also interested. (Mirror)
Star Duo Back In Training:
Mourinho, who froze German mid-fielder Bastian Schweinsteiger’s chances from the first team at the start of the season, seems to have given him a life-line as he was spotted in training ahead of their game against Fenerbahce.
Phil Jones is another player who was back in training, giving Mourinho some options for this crunch away tie in Europe.
Young Stars Also Spotted:
Mourinho pledged to give youngsters from the academy a chance in the first team at the start of the season and is keeping his word ahead of the game against Fenerbahce.
Axel Tuanzebe and Joe Riley, two academy youngsters who were impressive so far this season, were spotted training with the first team on Monday and are expected to be on the bench in Istanbul.
Top Transfer Target Unaware Of Manchester United’s Interests; Signs New Contract:
Real Madrid star Gareth Bale officially signed a contract extension with the Spanish giants on Monday. A six-year deal thought to be worth £350,000 a week after tax will keep him at the Bernabeu for years to come.
Bale revealed he had no previous knowledge about any interest from Manchester United, before signing his contract. (Express)
United Fans To Fly ‘Mourinho Out’ Banner:
The Portuguese has not been able to find any kind of a consistency at Old Trafford since the start of the season and sees his team languishing in the eighth spot in the points table.
They are currently eight points off the top of the table and Manchester United fans are now planning to fly a ‘Mourinho Out’ banner over Old Trafford during the crunch game against Arsenal on November 19.

Mourinho To Be Banned?
The Manchester United manager lost his cool in the game against Burnley and was sent off to the stands by Mark Clattenburg at the weekend.
He is now going to face a further ban for his actions on the night. Though the actual length of the ban is unclear, it is reportedly close to a four-match ban. (Mirror)
The Red Devils Set Price Tag For Wayne Rooney:
Wayne Rooney, Manchester United skipper, has been out of form this season and has been linked with a move away from the club in January.
Mourinho is now ready to sell him to potential suitors and has set a price tag of £25m for his striker and is ready to sell for that price in January. (Mirror)
