Up next in the race to the top-4 for Manchester United is a visit from Everton who have not been easy to beat in recent times. Roberto Martinez, the winning team’s manager will be hoping to take away all three points from this game but it will not be easy to take anything from this United team especially after the victory over Manchester City in their last game.
It will be a crunch tie and LVG will not have the services of Ander Herrera, Ashley Young and Bastian Schweinsteiger who are all out injured. Wayne Rooney is also unavailable for selection along with Luke Shaw, both of whom are back in training with the squad. Marcus Rashford will once again start in front for the Red Devils while Martial is expected to move to the right.
Here is the strongest line-up United might field against Everton on Sunday:
Goal Keeper:
David de Gea:
The shot-stopper will once again have to be at his best if United are to get anything from this game against Everton.
Defense:
Matteo Darmian:
The Spaniard has been in decent form recently and will be up against the likes of Martial on Sunday.
Chris Smalling:
The best defender for the Red Devils this season will have to be tight and afford the likes of Lukaku no space and time on the ball.
Daley Blind:
The Dutch national will once again start for the Red Devils at the center of the defense and will have to stay tight in front of goal.
Midfield:
Michael Carrick:
The veteran will get his chance to run the midfield at Old Trafford when Manchester United welcome Everton this weekend.
Morgan Schneiderlin:
In the absence of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin will have to start for United in this crunch tie against the Toffees.
Jesse Lingard:
Showing some promise recently, Lingard will once again have to be at it if he is to help his team get all three points from this game.
Juan Mata:
The Spaniard has been the creative outlet for United in the final third and will have to once again turn creator if Untied are to take anything from this game.
Anthony Martial:
The best player for Untied in the attacking third, Martial will be playing on the flank on the night and he will have to exploit the gap in behind the defense will United are to create chances against this Everton side.
Attack:
Marcus Rashford:
The youngster has been in sublime form this season and has the ability to find the back of the net with ease. He will have to find some form on the night if United are to beat the Toffees.
