Man United is currently holding talks with super-agent Mino Raiola to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, reports Calciomercato.
16-year-old Donnarumma on Sunday made his Serie A debut when he was included in the starting XI against Sassuolo. He became the youngest player to debut in a top-flight Italian league match.
However, Calciomercato is claiming that before Donnarumma signs a professional contract with Milan, Manchester United are also keen to bring him to Old Trafford.
The Italian media outlet says, United held talks with agent Raiola t sign to the 16-year-old as the Red Devils were ‘enchanted’ by this young lad.
Calciomercato also reporting, the meeting with the agent was made possible because of Louis van Gaal’s good relation with him. Both of them worked closely to sign Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero to Manchester United.
In the meantime, Donnarumma despite impressing on his professional debut was unable to finish the game with a clean sheet, as Domenico Berardi’s free-kick getting the better of the 16-year-old goalkeeper. But he will be no doubt very pleased as Milan beat Sassuolo by 2-1.
In his professional debut, Donnarumma made one good save but bagged a 100% claim success rate and was also accurate with 91% successfully distributed balls.
Milan currently are in the middle of the league table in Serie A, picking up 13 points from nine league games. Milan’s next game is against Chievo and Gianluigi Donnarumma is hoping to be included in the starting eleven once again
