According to latest reports, Manchester United is ready to PSG striker Edinson Cavani as the player looks increasing unsettled as the days are approaching to the transfer window.
Manchester United are looking to add strikers to their attack as 31-y Robin van Persie is often injured, Falcao has been a disappointment this season and Javier Hernandez is on the verge of leaving Manchester United after his loan spell at Real Madrid.
At Paris Saint Germain, Edison Cavani is often considered as second striker to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and was not given as higher importance as Zlatan despite his stunning performances this season. The striker is often played at unusual positions mostly to the right rather at Number 9.
“There is no question that he will not stay one more season if the sporting situation doesn’t change. This is the bottom line,” a source close to Cavani told Le Parisien.
“Edinson understood that, in the interests of the team, he had to play on the right side and he has done that for two years now. But that’s not to say that the position suits him.
“He wants to play at the axis of the attack – his preferred position – and not only when Ibrahimovic is absent. He needs continuity in that position to fully express the qualities that made him a top scorer in Italy.”
Louis van Gaal and Manchester United will face stiff competiton from Arsenal and Liverpool but the Red Devils are clear favorites to sign the star striker.
