Manchester United have a decent squad at the moment but the injuries to key players along with the loss in form has seen them drop out of the race to the top-4 this season.

They still have a chance of qualification to the Champions League this season as they have stepped into the finals of the Europa League after a victory over Celta Vigo over the two legs in the semi-final.

The manager, Jose Mourinho, is planning for a squad overhaul at the end of the season and is ready to spend big on a number of top class player at the end of the season.

This has seen him linked with some of the biggest names in Europe and the latest name on the radar is Bayern Munich star Renato Sanches.

Sanches was linked with a move to Old Trafford before he decided to switch to the Allianz Arena at the start of the season.

Bayern spent £30m on his services in the summer but like it was expected, Sanches has not been able to cement a place in the first team at the club this season.

He completed his first full 90-minute game last weekend in the Bundesliga this season and is reportedly fed of his situation at the club.

And according to reports today, Bayern Munich are also ready to offload him, as he can become the costliest player in the club’s history in years come.

Bayern Munich decided to pay £30 million, but it has been revealed that Ancelotti’s side added a clause to the deal which makes him the most expensive signing in The Bavarians’ 117-year history.

According to reports, if Renato Sanches makes 25 appearances for Bayern – then the club will pay Benfica an extra £4 million. The report also states that Sanches’ deal could finally be worth around £68 million based on his achievements and appearances.

And reports today suggest that Bayern are willing to offload him this summer to avoid paying him such insane bonuses and this might see Manchester United land him in a cut-price deal this summer.

Jose Mourinho is a long-term admirer of the midfielder and has already spoken about his desire to get him to the club in the future

It is understood that Bayern are ready to listen to offers of around £29.5m, the same price they paid for him last summer.

He is an exciting player and will improve the squad at Old Trafford. But do you think Mourinho will make a move for him this summer?
