Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal was in an unforgiving mood during his press conference in Seattle ahead of United’s first pre-season match. At the event, we saw all three new signings (Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin) get unveiled in front of the US media.

During the press conference, Van Gaal was asked several questions concerning the future of his current players and his answers might have signaled the end of at least two Manchester United stars.

Van Gaal was asked why he signed Darmian when he had Rafael in the team, manager replied by saying: “At right-back, you need to defend”. This must be the very last nail in Rafael’s coffin as the Brazilian looks set to bid farewell to his 7 years Old Trafford stay.

Shifting attention to Victor Valdes, Van Gaal thrashed his former Barcelona Goal Keeper stating that he has no future at Manchester United, as he does not follow his philosophy. According to him, Valdes refused to play in the reserve side so he has to be sold.

Moving forward, Louis Van Gaal made no comments on David De Gea’s situation at Old Trafford while he showed faith in Angel Di Maria’s stay at the club.

Referring to all the journalists, who have been writing about Di Maria’s proposed move to PSG, Van Gaal clarified that the Argentine will be joining United’s pre-season camp on 25th July and all the stories linking him with a move away from Old Trafford are created by media.
